"Half his seed!?" Allan asked, as if that was the most ridiculous thing he'd heard, "oh- oh, the - the apple seeds, the - the vault of apple seeds, yeah," he laughed it off, giving Mephis a quick little kiss to the top of the head when he leaned back against him. "To grow the apples ourselves and make even better apple combinations. Sounds like a plan to me," he looked over at the map on the wall as they walked out of the turbolift and along the corridor, "huh. It's kinda nice that they have the parkland and shit on the same level as sickbay, actually. Like, you could have just gotten stabbed or something but you could probably get a doctor to take you to the park and see a tree or something. Or maybe - ooh, do you think there's a lake?" He'd actually never been to a lake. Not one. He'd been in oceans, in ponds, in rivers - never a lake.

He raised an eyebrow of judgment. "I don't think we need that kinda seed." Technically they didn't need apple seeds either, but rare seeds were worth a lot of latinum each to the right people. He walked along with Allan, not touching him, but very close to him, keeping an eye on the people in the hall. You never knew with Terrans. Worse than Romulans used to be. "Yeah, green stuff's good for your mental and physical health, so... that's where we'll put it, in our ship - an apple tree arboretum next to sickbay." This was genuinely quite a nice fantasy now. He wasn't sure if it would actually become reality, though; it would stretch the budget, and he'd have to ask some of the people here about how setting up outdoor environments on a space station actually worked, and you had to be pretty economical with space on a ship... "I don't think there's gonna be a lake in the arboretum, more likely in the parkland... Wanna go there after?" He'd seen plenty of lakes himself on Ferenginar, some stagnant and swampy, some crystal-clear. It was a beautiful planet before the K-CA. (edited)

"You, maybe. We don't know know what apple-hoarding guy looks like yet, for all you know he could be the hottest apple-hoarder in the - oh, wait, no. That'll be us once we have the apples." He was also keeping a close eye on the people in the hall now as they walked. You could truly, absolutely never know with Terrans - or anyone else, for that matter. Hopefully those attending a peace conference would have some sense, but... they'd see in time, they supposed. "Ooo, wait, we'll put it on our ship?" He tilted his head when he looked over at the other, it really ddi sound like a nice fantasy. "I thought we'd just sort of outsource it, but having it on the ship..." oh, that'd be -nice-. Having a little green open space with some fresh fruits to be fruity in? Sounded pretty good to him. Of course there were all the logistics, but... that was for them to figure out later. The high of the idea was simply all that needed to exist right now. "I think it'd be good, to uh. Both of those. Having the arboretum on the ship and going to the parkland after," he said as they went into the #arboretum .

"Ohh, I love the way you think," Allan said with a grin as Mephis suggested also making a really cute video. Of course it was very important space pirate work: not only were the videos cute as hell to have for themselves, but they also made a hella lot of ethically obtained cash from all the views they got! "Absolutely. We can get some of her wet food out to kind of lure her over, though. That might be fun." It was also a strategy that, as he walked through the corridor holding Mephis's hand, he thought had been tried and worked before, so it probably wouldn't be too hard a feat to achieve. Of course, the first hurdle to her doing anything was getting comfortable with the quarters room, that was for sure.

Maybe one day they could retire and live on orchard bake sales and cat video money. "Yeah, we can. Might not be too hard, though, she does like catnip and she might be 'splorin the room by now." They discussed other Cat Things as they walked down the hall to #turbolift-one , where this reply continued.
